What this site is
District5 India is a cricket reference site. It is not a news desk and it does not chase match reports. The work here is narrower: taking the questions people actually ask about cricket records — who has scored the most, who got there fastest, which side has won it most often — and answering them with figures that can be traced back to a scorecard.
The site is run by a small editorial team working from India. It has no connection to the ICC, the BCCI, any franchise or any broadcaster, and no article here is sponsored by a team or a player.
How a record gets published here
- The question is written down the way a reader would ask it, not the way a keyword tool phrases it.
- Figures are taken from the scorecard or the governing body’s own list rather than from another article.
- Ties are checked. Where two players share a mark, both are shown as sharing it instead of one being pushed down the table.
- Anything contested — a disputed delivery, an unofficial timing, a total that depends on which matches you count — is labelled as contested in the table itself.
- The counting rule is stated before the table, so it is clear whether a figure covers all formats, men’s cricket only, or a single tournament.
What you will not find
- Predictions, tips or odds. This is a record site, not a betting site.
- Live scores. Other sites do that faster and better.
- Transfer rumours or unattributed “sources say” reporting.
- Rankings invented for the sake of a list, such as “greatest ever” tables with no measurable basis.
When records change
Cricket records move faster than those of most sports, particularly in the shorter formats — the fastest double century in men’s ODI cricket changed hands twice in 2026 alone. Articles are revisited when a mark is passed, when a governing body reclassifies a match, or when a reader points out something that no longer holds.
If something here is wrong
Send the article link and the correct figure through the contact page. Corrections backed by a scorecard are applied quickly, and the article is updated rather than quietly removed.
